Mihails Ziziļevs

Mihail Ziziļevs (* December 27, 1973 in Daugavpils ) is a Latvian footballer who plays for FC Daugava Daugavpils.

Career

Association

Mihail Ziziļevs began his career shortly after independence from the Soviet Union in his hometown Latvian Daugavpils. First, at DJSSh Daugavpils under contract, he later played for three other teams from the city in the southeast of the country; Auseklis and Vilán, and from 1996 to 1999 at the FC Dinaburg. Around the turn of the millennium played Ziziļevs in Russia with Rubin Kazan. From 2001 to 2002 he was back in Latvia under contract. In 2003, the midfielder returned to Russia to play for Metallurg Lipetsk and FK Luch - Energia Vladivostok in the 1st Division. Again, after two seasons, there was a return to Latvia. In the 2005 season at FC Dinaburg playing, followed from 2007, the most successful period as a professional. With the FK Ventspils Ziziļevs could be the first time Latvian champion and cup winner. Since 2010 he is at FC Daugava Daugavpils under contract and was able to win his third championship there with the team in the season 2012.

National

Mihail Ziziļevs debuted during the Baltic Cup 1997 in the Latvian national team in match against Lithuania. Another international game that was both the last in his active career Ziziļevs completed in November 2001 under Aleksandrs Starkovs against Russia.
