Mike Brown (ice hockey, born 1979)

Michael W. Brown ( born April 29, 1979 in Surrey, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who in his playing days from 1994 to 2006 among others for the Vancouver Canucks, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League played.

Career

Mike Brown began his career in the Western Hockey League with the Red Deer Rebels and Kamloops Blazers. In 1997 he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft as a total of 20 players from the Florida Panthers. During the season 1999/2000 he made his debut in the American Hockey League for the Syracuse Crunch. Two seasons later he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Vancouver Canucks. During the season 2001 /02 he completed another 15 NHL games for the Canucks, but was otherwise in the AHL for the Manitoba Moose used. Before the following season, he was taken by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and went under contract in 16 games for the Ducks on the ice, where he succeeded his only NHL goal.

During the season 2005 /06 he played mainly for the Norfolk Admirals. He was also nominated for two games in the squad of the Chicago Blackhawks before he finished his career.
