Miles Kane

Miles Kane ( born March 17, 1986 in Birkenhead, Wirral Peninsula; actually Miles Paul Kane ) is an English singer and songwriter. In addition to his activities in various indie rock bands such as The Little Flames, The Rascals and The Last Shadow Puppets he has worked since 2011 as a solo artist.

Music career

2004-2007: "The Little Flames" and formation of "The Rascals "

In December 2004, the band The Little Flames was founded. The members of Eva Petersen ( Vocals), Joe Edwards ( bass), Mat Gregory ( Guitar), Greg Mighall (drums) and Kane was there presented by DJ Babylon Fox each other. Kane stepped up to Gregory also a guitarist in appearance. The band stood until its dissolution in May 2007 at the Independent Label Delta Sonic under contract. After the group in 2005 and 2007, two songs a song published, the debut album under the name of The Day Is Not Today should be released in June 2007. However, by the previous resolution of the group, the album remained unreleased.

After the dissolution of the band The Little Flames Kane founded together with Edwards and Mighall the group The Rascals. While the other two instruments retained their original, Kane took over this time the role of the lead singer. Their debut EP was released on 9 December 2007 and was also expelled from Delta Sonic.

2008-2009: Publications of "The Rascals " and "The Last Shadow Puppets"

After it was gone already known in August 2007 that Kane will start together with the lead singer of the British indie rock band Arctic Monkeys, Alex Turner, and music producer James Ford an album that appeared on April 14, 2008 entitled the Age of understatement, the first single of this album. The newly formed band occurs in this case under the name The Last Shadow Puppets. On 15 April 2008 the debut album by the group at Domino Records appeared, it also bore the name of The Age of understatement and became number one in the UK and ranked 111 in the United States. In June, the debut album by the band The Rascals, but which only reached rank 100 in the UK appeared.

In August 2009, Kane announced to get out of The Rascals, to pursue a solo career. For his solo career, he signed a recording contract with Columbia Records.

2010 to present: Solo Career

On 19 November 2010 appeared Kane's debut single Inhaler, but which did not achieve chart position in the UK. He then went on tour and supported inter alia in December The Courteeners and in March Beady Eye at some shows. On 18 February 2011 a second single from Kane's debut album was released. However, Come Closer also not went into the charts. After the end of March a third song was released with Rearrange, which reached no placement in the charts of Great Britain, was published on 6 May 2011 Miles Kane's debut album Colour of the Trap. This consisted of twelve tracks, six of which were co-written by Alex Turner, a member of the band The Last Shadow Puppets. In addition, the album was also a song where Noel Gallagher can be heard in the background. The album reached number eleven in the UK. The rest of the year spent Kane then with the application of the album, so he assisted in June and July 2011 and January and February 2012, the band Arctic Monkeys concerts in England, France, Germany, Australia and Spain. In December 2011, he was with the group Kasabian in the UK on tour.

After it was expressed by all the members in 2009, 2010 and 2011 interest in a continuation of the project, Kane was in January 2012 announced that The Last Shadow Puppets will probably start at the end of the year with work on a new album.

On June 3, 2013 appeared Kane's second solo album, Do not Forget Who You Are.
