Minuscule 64

Minuscule 64 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 1287 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 443 parchment leaves ( 11.5 x 8 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 12th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The Code contains the text of the four Gospels. It was written one column with 18 rows. It contains Epistula ad Carpianum, Eusebischer tables, lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections (Mark 241) Eusebische canon, Liturgical reading pieces, incipits and Synaxarium.

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in any category.

History

The manuscript belonged to Thomas Goade († 1638) and Ussher (such as Code 61 and 63).

The Code is currently in the Schøyen Collection (Ms 230) in Oslo.
