Minuscule 77

Minuscule 77 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), A 143 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 302 parchment leaves (24 × 18.5 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 11th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The manuscript contains the text of the four Gospels with a commentary. He was one column each with 21 lines written (Comment - 54). The parchment is thin and medium. The manuscript contains the Epistula ad Carpianum, Eusebische tables, Prolegomena (two to John), lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections (Mark 233), the Eusebischen canon, lectionary markings and Synaxarion by later hand.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category V.

History

The handwriting was as Code 78 the Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus ( 1458-1490 ). It was collated by Herman Gerhard Treschow and Karl age. Age used them in his edition of the Greek text of the New Testament. Caspar René Gregory them collated 1887.

The code is located in the Austrian National Library ( Theol. gr 154) in Vienna.
