Mircea Bornescu

Mircea Alexandru Bornescu ( May 3, 1980 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player. The goalkeeper is since the summer of 2012 at Petrolul Ploiesti under contract.

Career

The career of Mircea Bornescu began in 1999 with Juventus Cole Tina Bucharest in Divizia B (now League II). He was already in his first season at goalkeeper. After a year he left the club and joined the league rivals Apulum Alba Iulia. After two years he moved to FC Extensive Craiova, who played also in Divizia B. Again Bornescu was a regular player, but fell not only by preventing gates, but also as a scorer on. In the season 2004/ 05 he came on six hits.

In the summer of 2005 Bornescu moved within the league for straight out of the Divizia A (now League 1) relegated team Universitatea Craiova. He played the majority of games and helped in this way, back in his first season in the top flight. Bornescu has secured there with Uni Craiova three times in the league. In the summer of 2009 he left the club and signed for Premier League rivals Rapid Bucharest. In the season 2010/11 he was able to qualify with his club for the Europa League. In the summer of 2011, he left the club to Greece to AO Kavala. After his new club had been denied admission to the Super League, he returned to Romania, where he was first promoted Petrolul Ploiesti, in the winter break, but league rival Universitatea Cluj joined. In summer 2012 he returned to Ploieşti and won the Cup victory in 2013 his first title. In the 2013/14 season, he is only the number two between the posts behind Peçanha.

National

Bornescu has played still no match for the Romanian national football team, but belonged to the extended squad. Most recently, he was in August 2012 in the squad by coach Victor Piţurcă for two friendly matches, but did not get to the course.
