Ianis Zicu

Ianis Alin Zicu ( born October 23, 1983 in Constanţa ) is a Romanian football player. He plays since the beginning of 2014 at Petrolul Ploieşti in Liga 1

Career

Zicu began his career in the youth team of his home club Farul Constanta, where he began playing football in 1991. In 2000 he moved to Dinamo Bucharest. In his first season at Dinamo, the association behind Steaua Bucharest was runner-up and won the Romanian Cup with a 4-2 final win against Rocar Bucharest. In the following season he was loaned to FCM Campina. There he dismounted with the club from the second division.

2002/ 03 he was awarded Dinamo again and Zicu played one season in his parent club Farul Constanta. The club finished tenth in the highest Romanian league. In the 2003 /04 season, he was part of the squad Dinamo, as the double was achieved. This season, the playmaker was playing for the first time at European club level. He made his debut in a 2-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk on 24 September 2003. According relatively good performances he was obliged by Italian top club Inter Milan in 2004. But immediately afterwards lent to FC Parma.

After a fall and spring season in Parma, where he completed nine games, he returned, also on loan to Dinamo Bucharest back. The Cup win could be repeated. After another season in the dress of Dinamo, where the third place was achieved, he played in the 2006/07 season - again as Players out on loan - at Rapid Bucharest. With Rapid he was pleased for the fourth time over a cup triumph.

In the summer of 2007 Zicu was then discharged finally from Inter to Dinamo Bucharest. In the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09, the fourth and the third place was achieved. Since the summer of 2010, he plays for FC Timişoara. With his new club, he closed the season 2010/ 11 as runners-up behind Oţelul Galaţi and was charged with 18 -goal top scorer. However, Timişoara was no admission to the 2011/12 season and was relegated to the Liga II. Zicu then left the club and hired the Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia record.

Even in the winter break of 2011/12 left Zicu Sofia again already and moved to Pohang Steelers in the South Korean K- League. Mid-2012, he was loaned out to league rivals Gangwon FC to which he moved permanently in early 2013. A year later he returned to Petrolul Ploiesti back to Romania.

National

International Zicu previously played twelve times for the Romanian national football team. He also came in the various youth teams in his home country for use. His debut for the senior team, he announced on 11 October 2003 against Japan. The game ended 1-1. In October 2010 Zicu returned in the European Championship qualifier against France after a three year break back in the national team. On 29 March 2011 against Luxembourg he scored his first goal.
