Miri Ben-Ari
Miri Ben- Ari (Hebrew מירי בן ארי; born 1978 ) is a classically trained, Israeli violinist and Grammy winner. She is primarily known for her work on several hip-hop projects. It was discovered by Wyclef Jean, a former member of the Fugees. Some of their best known contributions are "Overnight Celebrity" for Twista and "Fallin ' " for Alicia Keys, also "Jesus Walks" and "The New Workout Plan " by Kanye West 's album The College Dropout.
In 2005 she was awarded jointly with Kanye West and Che Smith ( Rhymefest ) and the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song for the song Jesus Walks, which was sung by Kanye West. Her best-known album, The Hip- Hop Violinist, was published in 2005.
