Mirna Peč

Mirna Pec ( German: honey stone) is a municipality in the Lower Carniola region of Slovenia.

Location and population

In the overall community consisting of 28 villages and hamlets in 2827 people. The main town Mirna Pec has only 864 inhabitants. The municipality is located northwest of Novo Mesto on the river Temenica.

Worth seeing

By Mirna Pec flows Slovenia longest Sickerfluss that Temenica. In the district Vrhpeč the river has its second source, after it had seeped in Dolenje Ponikve in the karst underworld. The Temenica then flows on through the Mirna valley, where it seeps in Goriška vas one more time.
