Miró II of Cerdanya

Miró the Younger, in dynastic continuity also called Miró II (Catalan Miró el Jove; † 927 ) was a Count of Cerdanya, Conflent and Besalu from the House of Barcelona. He was one of four sons of the Hairy Wilfried († 898 ), the founder of the Catalan dynasty.

Off the field conglomerate his father Miró had received the counties of Cerdanya and Conflent and by 920 he had inherited his uncle Radulf in the county of Besalu. He married a woman named Ava, with whom he had four sons:

  • Miró Bonfill († 984 ), Count of Besalu, Bishop of Girona.

In addition, Miró had five illegitimate children.

On June 13, 925 Miró had written his will. It is the oldest known Testament in Catalonia, which is not attached by a cleric, and is therefore at the beginning of the high -powered scope written fixation of the exhortations of the Catalan dynasty.
