Mizhhirya Raion

The Rajon Mischhirja (Ukrainian Міжгірський район / Mischhhirskyj rayon; Russian Межгорский район / Meschgorski raion ) is a administrative division in the extreme west of Ukraine and part of the Transcarpathian Oblast.

It was established on 22 January 1946 and are part of the administrative area:

It is located in the northeast of the oblast in the mountain range of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and is bordered to the east by the Rajon Tyachiv, to the south by Rajon Chust, in the southwest on the Rajon Irshava and Rajon Svalyava, on the west by Rajon Volovets and to the north in the Oblast Lviv to the Skole district and in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast to the Rajon Dolyna and Rajon Roschnjatiw.
