The Our ​​Lady and Saint Wenceslas consecrated monastery Mogila ( Clara Tumba ) is a Cistercian abbey in Poland. It is located in the city of Krakow ( Cracow ) in Nowa Huta district.

History

Monastery Mogila (Polish Mogiła ) was founded in 1222 by Bishop Ivan Odrowąż in Kacice after a goods Foundation of Count Vislaus and his mother Lavra monastery Leubus ( Lubiąż ) settled in Silesia, which in turn the monasteries Kamp Monastery, Monastery Walk Ried and monastery Pforta the filiation of primary Abbey Mori moon comes. 1225/26 it was moved to Mogila. Buildings and plant

The monastery was built in the 13th and 14th centuries and later modified. The church was consecrated in 1266. She is a three-aisled basilica from early Gothic pillars baking and Haustein in a bound system with four original nave yokes. She has two choir bays and a transept with two chapels. The arcades between the nave and the two aisles have pointed arches. The original cross -ribbed vault is partially preserved. The transverse arches resting on pilasters and half-columns or pilasters, the ribs on services. The Kelchblockkapitelle are partially decorated with interlace and palmettes decoration, some keystones with fine stonework decoration. The nave was rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century and received new vault. The paintings of the vault is derived from the Kraukauer artist Jan Bukowski from the year 1919. The church facade was rebuilt in the late Baroque 1779/1780. The altarpiece is from 1514, a Renaissance tomb of 1586th
