Möhlintal

The Möhlintal is a 10 kilometer long valley between Möhlin and Wegenstetten in the district of Rheinfelden, Canton of Aargau, Switzerland. The five Möhlintal belonging to communities Möhlin, Zeiningen, Zuzgen, Hellikon and Wegenstetten include a total of around 15,000 inhabitants.

In the upper valley communities of the valley is with some pride also called Wegenstettertal. This name is especially used by some associations and organizations that affect only the upper communities of Möhlintals. At Habsburg times the area landscape Möhlinbach was called. Location and description

The valley is situated in the northeastern Tafeljura; that part of the Swiss Jura, which was not folded, in contrast to the folded parts ( Faltenjura ). The Möhlintal is practically a straight line from southeast to northwest and is surrounded by extensive tabular plateaus, in which the valley is deepened. It is drained by the Möhlinbach that. History

Landscape Möhlinbach

The landscape Möhlinbach referred to times when the Frick Valley was still part of Further Austria, a subordinate administrative unit of Kameralherrschaft Rheinfelden, which belonged to the upper office Breisgau.
