Molau a municipality is Molauer country in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Molau is located about 13 km south of Naumburg ( Saale). As districts of the former municipality Sieglitz were ( on July 1, 1961 incorporated by Molau ) and Aue ( on 1 January 1957 after Molau incorporated ) were reported.

History

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Molau, Casekirchen, Abtlöbnitz and Leislau merged to form the new municipality Molauer country.

Culture and sights

Worth seeing is the local history museum with a collection heimatschaftlicher rarities, such as Classic cars. Traditional events include the annual spring festival in May in Bad Kosen, as well as a classic car meeting in August.

Traffic

At the federal highway 88, which runs west of Molau of Naumburg ( Saale) by Camburg, there are about six kilometers. The community was formerly connected by the railway line Zeitz - Camburg to the surrounding places.
