The Office Molfsee is an office in Rendsburg -Eckernförde district in Schleswig -Holstein and includes the following six municipalities:
- Blumenthal
- Mielkendorf
- Molfsee
- Rodenbek
- Rumohr
- Schierensee
History
The classification of the circles after the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia in 1867 established the Office Molfsee. As the headquarters Molfsee was elected, though Blumenthal at that time had more inhabitants. The decisive factor was the better road access Molfsees (Altona - Kieler Chaussee ). At first it belonged to the circle Bordesholm, after its dissolution in 1932 it came to the district of Rendsburg (now Rendsburg -Eckernförde ). Since the community Molfsee in 1984 exceeded the 5000 population limit and thus needed its own administration, since the official business of this county are conducted.
