Molkenhaus (Wernigerode)

The whey house in the Harz mountain range in Hasserode in Saxony-Anhalt Harz is a built as a half-timbered house, a former farm building and hunting lodge, which is currently used to manage the Harz National Park.

Geographical location

The whey house is located in the Upper Harz ( Upper Harz ) in the Harz Nature Park / Saxony- Anhalt Harz National Park. History

Built by order of the Counts - stolbergischen Upper Hunter Master of Meseberg at the beginning of the 18th century half-timbered building belonged to Ilse Burger Marienhof and served the butter production and for hunting purposes.
