The race Eckeberg is an approximately 933 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Harz mountain range ( Upper Harz ) in the city of Wernigerode in the Harz district, Saxony- Anhalt.

Geographical location

The racing corner Berg is located in the Harz Nature Park / Saxony- Anhalt and the Harz National Park just 3 km north of the village belonging to Wernigerode Schierke. Its summit rises about 300 m east of the county road 1356 ( Brockenstraße ), the ( 1141.1 m) leads from Schierke to the Brocken. As he ridge extends approximately from the Zeterklippen ( max. 830 m) in the north-north- west to the chapel cliff (at about 910 m) in the south-southeast.

In the direction of north-north- west, the landscape of racing corner mountain falls in the Valley of Use, approximately to the north- east, it leads to Hohe Wand ( 758 m) with the ears cliffs above and to the east it falls in the valley of the mountains in the transition region to the southeast, Hohnekamm (900, 6 m, and with Hohneklippen ) springing from Holtemme. In the south-southeast some springs below the chapel cliff the Wormke. In the south the land falls into the valley of the Cold Bode from the village of Schierke. After West southwest is a 900.6 m high saddle at the K 1356 connection to Heinrich height (approx. 1045 m). Description
