More Than a Thousand

More Than A Thousand is a metalcore band from Setúbal in Portugal. They play metalcore in the vein of Cancer Bats and OneSideZero.

Band History

The band was founded in 2001 by Vasco Ramos, Filipe Oliveira and Sérgio Sousa in Setubal (Portugal). After several EPs, the band moved to London in 2005. Their debut album, The Hollow, the band in 2006 in Umeå, Sweden with producer Pelle and Eskil Henricsson Lovstrm ( Refused, Poison the Well ) on. The debut album is a continuation of the previous EP Trailers Are Always More Exciting Than Movies and a concept album about the band's history.

After a tour with Metallica and Mastodon EP volume followed III: Mar ( EP), the ( Every Time I Die, Converge ) was recorded in Portugal and in New York by Alan Douches mixed. In January 2008, the band occurs on the Euro Sonic Festival in Groningen. 2009 was the second full album Volume IV: Make Friends and Enemies with producer Paul Leavitt in Baltimore. After a successful tour with 30 Seconds to Mars was followed by a European tour as headliners.
