Moriwaki

The K. K. Moriwaki Engineering (Japanese株式会社 モリワキ エンジニアリング, Kabushiki - gaisha Moriwaki enjiniaringu ), English Moriwaki Engineering Co., Ltd.. , Is a Japanese company, the high-performance parts for motorcycles and automobiles designs, develops and produces. It exports among other things, to North America, Europe and Australia.

Moriwaki is represented in various classes of motorcycle racing. So, take for example, participate in the Moto2 class of MotoGP World Championship.

The manufacturer is closely associated with Honda, since the owner Mamoru Moriwaki spent years working for the group itself.

Racing

Since its inception, Moriwaki is deeply rooted in motorcycle racing. In 1978, participated in the first edition of the 8- hour race at Suzuka and reached with the pilots Graeme Crosby and Tony Hatton third.

MotoGP class

In the 2003 season Moriwaki sat with the pilot Tamaki Serizawa at the Grand Prix of Japan at Suzuka for the first time a separate chassis with Honda engine in the MotoGP class of the Motorcycle World Championship in. The following season they won the Moriwaki MD5, which was equipped with the five-cylinder engine of the Honda RC211V, and the pilot Olivier Jacque and Andrew Pitt seven championship points in the MotoGP class. 2005 Tōru Ukawa and Naoki Matsudo started on the MD5 and scored a championship point.

Japanese Superbike Championship
