Moustoir-Ac

Moustoir- Ac ( Breton: Moustoer - Logunec'h ) is a commune with 1769 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Pays de Locminé.

Geography

Moustoir -Ac is located in the southern center of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.

Neighboring municipalities are Locminé in the north, Bignan in the east, Colpo in the Southeast, Grand-Champ and Brandivy in the south, La Chapelle- Neuve in the southwest and Plumelin in the West.

Through the eastern part of the municipality of the D767 Locminé leads to Vannes, through the village Moustoir -Ac the D16. North of the village leads the N 24 over. The closest connection to this is just a few kilometers north of Locminé.

The river Tarun partially forms the municipal boundary to Plumelin. Other important bodies of water are the streams Kergueurh, Pontcuel and Pont Ruyen and some small ponds. A significant portion of the municipal area is covered by forest.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro - Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Baod (French Pays de Baud) and shares his story. The place was in 1793 still the name Moutoir Adenac. He is assigned to the Canton Locminé since 1793.
