Naizin

Naizin ( Breton: Neizin ) is a commune with 1733 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Pays de Locminé.

Geography

Naizin located in the southern part of central Brittany and part of the Pays de Pontivy.

Neighboring municipalities are Kerfourn in the north, Crédin in the northeast, Réguiny the east and southeast, Moréac in the south, Remungol in the southwest. Moustoir Remungol in the west and Noyal- Pontivy in the northwest.

Through the western part of the municipality of the D767 Guingamp leads to Vannes. Through the town Naizin the D17 runs as a link from Locminé to Rohan. The most important river waters are the Belle Chère and Evel, which forms part of the southern boundaries to Moréac. In addition there are some small ponds and streams Coëtdan, Guern, Le and Le Ruino Guénolay.

History

The place is first mentioned in 1253 in the form of being recorded. The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro - Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Baod (French Pays de Baud) and shares his story. Naizain 1793 the Canton Locminé allocated.
