Mr Rock & Roll is the second single by British singer Amy Macdonald from her first studio album, This Is the Life. The song was written by Macdonald and published on 16 July 2007 in the United Kingdom. The single was produced by Pete Wilkinson.
The song is about two lonely people who meet, but can not come together. In the 3- track single songs A Wish for Something More and Let's Start a Band are additionally included as B-sides and at the 2- track single the song Somebody New is included as a B-side.
The song was so laut.de, " a groovy feel-good song that go in your ear and leg ."
Music Video
The video shows to Amy Macdonald, who sits alone in a room at the window and plays the song, and later, together with her band. In between a man and a woman are shown walking through a city.
Charts and Awards
In the UK Singles Top 75, the song reached on 22 July 2007 for a week twelve position, the peak position remained at the same time. On 17 February 2008, the song climbed in Switzerland in the singles charts, where it stayed at number three for two weeks. The same success it has achieved in the Netherlands. In Austria, the peak was number 19, number 20 in Norway and 21 in Germany Course
