The World at Penarth
The World is the first designed as a private residence ship. The residents live on board while the ship is traveling the world's oceans and is staying two to three days in most ports.
General
The World sailing under the flag of the Bahamas and is measured with 43 188 GT. The ship is 196 meters long, has 12 decks, and a maximum speed of 18.5 knots. The crew consists of 250 members.
The ship has 165 apartments, which are owned by the residents or can be rented. There are three categories of apartments available:
- Studios from 27-78 m²
- Studio apartments of 54-94 m²
- Apartments of 63-360 m²
The apartments are comfortably furnished: The big " units " have up to three bathrooms and several bedrooms. Residents can cook in your own kitchen or dine in the restaurant on board. Construction
The World has been built due to an idea of Knut U. Kloster Jr.. , At the shipyard Bruces Shipyard Landskrona (Sweden) and from the shipyard Fosen Mek. Verksteder A / S, Rissa (Norway ), completed and completed in March 2002.

Facilities
