Muckhart#Pool of Muckhart

Pool of Muckhart ( Scottish Gaelic Poll Mhuc - AIRD ) is a settlement in the east of the Scottish Unitary Authority Clackmannanshire and traditional Scottish county of Perthshire. It is about eight kilometers north- west of Dunfermline and 13 miles south-west of Perth at the foot of the Ochil Hills and belongs to the Hill Foot's Villages. The Firth of Forth flows about 13 km, the Devon about two kilometers to the south. Pool of Muckhart is connected by the A91 to the road network. Together with the westerly Yetts of Muckhart it forms the Parrish Muckhart. This recorded a total of 520 inhabitants in 1991.
