Geography

The municipality is located in the southeastern Odenwald between the Neckar and Main in the north corner of the Neckar- Odenwald -Kreis on the border of Hesse and Bavaria ( triangle ). History

At the time of Roman rule ( about 98 to 260), the municipality was in the province of Upper Germany. Remains of the Neckar- Odenwald Limes are seen today in Schloßau and Scheidental.
