The mill stone is 607.2 m above sea level. NN is the third highest mountain in the Kaufunger forest and is a border mountain of the district of Kassel, in Hesse and North of the district of Göttingen in southern Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geographical location

The mill stone is 1.6 km southeast of the mountain pass Umschwang 6.75 km east of the municipality Nieste and just 3.25 km ( straight line ) southwest of Kleinalmerode, a western suburb of Witzenhausen.

On the narrow point in the range of wooded mill stone northern Hesse and southern Lower Saxony lies in the east to the west; the mountain summit rises nearly 100 meters to the southeast of it in Hesse. Along this border is also a part of the border of the nature park Meissner Kaufunger forest runs (Hessen) to the Natural Park Munden (Lower Saxony), its summit is part of the first-mentioned nature park.
