The Neuperlach South Railway Station is a shared S- Bahn and U -Bahn station in Munich- Neuperlach. He is one of the six above-ground stations of the Munich U- Bahn network and the only above-ground on the U5. Metro Station was opened on 18 October 1980 the S- Bahn station there since 17 December 1977. Operate on three tracks where the U5 and the Munich S-Bahn East Cross Street, at the time of the line S7 is busy. The S7 runs from Cross Road on the Munich city center to Wolfratshausen. Track 1 with outer platform used towards the city center by underground. Incoming subway trains stop at track 2, on the middle platform (combined platform) and the track 3 of the S -Bahn is. The station is the terminus of the U5 and is designed as a bridge over the Carl- Wery -Straße. From 2007 to 2009, the station has been rebuilt and has a new roof, displays and signs. At the end of the train station is a parking area for metros. In the late 1980s there was a plan to extend the U5 to DASA Ottobrunn site. The project is not pursued further.
