The Raspberry Red Hundsrute ( Mutinus ravenelii ) is a species of fungus in the genus of the dog Rods ( Mutinus ).

Features

The fruiting bodies of the raspberry Red Hundsrute be when ripe, 5-8 cm high and strong to about 1 cm. They derive from a white, oblong- ovate 1-1.5 cm wide Hexenei. The receptaculum is ocher yellowish to raspberry, especially among the Gleba at the top. The gleba is olivgrünlich and slimy. The Raspberry Red Hundsrute exudes an intense aasartigen smell, unlike the commons Hundsrute.

Ecology

The Raspberry Red Hundsrute is a saprobiontischer bottom dwellers, they are rare in Central Europe in parks and gardens under deciduous and coniferous trees in front. The fruiting bodies appear from June to August.
