Nahomi Kawasumi (2011)

Nahomi Kawasumi (Japanese川 澄 奈 穂 美, Kawasumi Nahomi; born September 23, 1985 in Yamato, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese football player.

Club career

Kawasumi plays since 2008 when club INAC Kobe Leonessa and is on loan to the NWSL subscriber Seattle Reign FC during the 2014 season.

National

Kawasumi won with Japan at the Universiade in 2005 the bronze medal. Their first match for Japan, she completed on 31 March 2008 against Taiwan. She played for Japan in the sixth Women's World Cup 2011. Kawasumi scored two goals in the semi-final 3-1 win over Sweden. The second goal was nominated for election to the Goal of the Tournament and voted by the users of FIFA.com for second most beautiful goal.

Kawasumi also belonged to the Japanese squad for the Olympic Games in London. She came in all six games for use, inter alia, in the 1:2 lost against the USA finals and won the silver medal with her team.
