Keelin Winters

Keelin Winters ( born December 9, 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American soccer player. She plays for the Seattle Reign FC and for the U.S. national team.

Career

The daughter of former NBA professional basketball players Brian Winters grew up in California and Colorado and played for the teams of Carondelet and Regis Jesuit High School. Between 2001 and 2007, played for the youth teams Winters Mustang Blast and Real Colorado. In 2007 she moved to the Portland Pilots, the team of the University of Portland. In the College Football scored six goals in 83 winter and was elected in 2010 as the best player in the West Coast Conference. In addition to the Portland Pilots winter between 2007 and 2009 for Colorado Rush was active in the W-League.

2011 Keelin Winters was drafted by the Boston Breakers of the U.S. professional league Women's Professional Soccer. She was nominated for the award Rookie of the Year. Winters led at the U- 20 World Cup in Chile in 2008 as their team captain to win the title.

The beginning of 2013 she was assigned to the newly established National Women 's Soccer League, the highest professional league in the American women's soccer, as part of the so-called Chicago Red Stars player allocation. However, even before the first season game she moved to league rivals FC Seattle Reign and made his debut there on 14 April in a 1-1 draw against Chicago.
