Nancy-Université

The University of Nancy (French Université de Nancy, Nancy- Université sometimes ) combined the three universities of Nancy (Lorraine ):

  • University of Nancy I " Henri Poincaré " ( UHP): sciences, medicine, pharmacy and Others
  • University of Nancy II: Law, Literature and Social Sciences
  • Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine ( INPL ): Engineering Colleges

Today the University of Nancy, has more than 50,000 students, making Nancy the fifth largest university city in France.

History of the University

The University was founded as University of Nancy Pont-à- Mousson on December 5, 1572 by the Dukes of Lorraine in Pont-à- Mousson and relocated in 1769 to Nancy.
