Narciso López (footballer)

Narcico López ( born August 18, 1928 in Chapulimita, Jalisco, † January 1988 in Guadalajara, Jalisco ), also known by the nickname El Chicho, was a Mexican footballer, who acted in defense. As an active professional player, he was only in his adopted hometown of Guadalajara clubs under contract.

Biography

" El Chicho " López began his professional career in 1948 with the CD Oro, for whom he played nearly a decade before he moved to city rivals CD Guadalajara, with whom he won the championship in seasons 1958/59 and 1959/60. After these successes, he joined the " neighbors " CD Nacional, where he trailed off his career in 1963.

Between his international debut on December 27, 1953 against Haiti ( 4-0) and his last game on March 17, 1956 against Chile ( 2-1 ) gave López it to a total of ten missions for the Mexican national team. Highlight of his international career was the participation in the Football World Cup in 1954, when he completed both games against Brazil ( 0-5 ) and France (2:3).
