Natasha Mayers

Natasha Mayers (Natasha Laren Mayers, born March 10, 1979, St. Vincent ) is a vincentinische sprinter.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney she came over 100m not go beyond the first round. In 2001, she came at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton about 100 m the semi-finals and was eliminated over 200 m in the run- off.

In 2002, she was starting for the University of Southern California NCAA champion in the 200 m. At the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, she finished fourth on 200 m and Eighth about 100 m. At the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis and at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, it reached more than 100 m respectively the quarter-finals, but had to do without both times because of an injury to a start.

In 2005 she was tested positive in a doping test for testosterone and locked because of this breach of the doping regulations for two years.

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi she won in the finals over 100m in third place. After Sally Pearson was disqualified for false starts caused by it and then be moved up to first place Oludamola Osayomi was found guilty of doping, Mayers was subsequently declared the winner.
