The Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento ( UNGS ), founded in 1993, is a public university Argentine.
Name
It is named after the former administrative unit of Greater Buenos Aires General Sarmiento which is now divided in José C. Paz, Malvinas Argentinas and San Miguel. The buildings are now located in the province of Malvinas Argentinas, and are of about 8000 students attended (as of 2004). The University is a partner university, inter alia, University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern.
The university offers master's and teacher graduates in history, education, philosophy, communication, political science, urban planning, economics, mathematics, physics and engineering. At the " Instituto de desarollo humano " and in the " Sciencias " doctorates are possible.
