Nazımiye

Nazimiye is both a city and district in the eastern Turkish province of Tunceli. The district borders the provinces of Bingöl and Elazığ.
Geography
The highest elevations in the county are the mountains Düzgün Baba ( 2,097 m), Hamik Baba ( 2,133 m) and Bedir ( 2,614 m). With the Pülümür Çayi and the Peri Çayi flow through two rivers his territory.
History
The foundation of the town is more recent than the other towns in Tunceli, such as Çemişgezek, Pertek or Mazgirt. His original name was Qızılkilise ( " Red Church " ) or Gamirvank ( Arm. " Red Monastery "). This was built in 1896 in honor Nazıme Sultan, the daughter Abdülhamids II, as amended. In Nazımiye is important for Alevis Sanctuary of Düzgün Baba.
