NGC 2146

NGC 2146 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation giraffe, which is about 39 million light -years away from Earth. NGC 2146 is probably in the final state of a collision and interacts with the nearby galaxy NGC 2146A.

Discovery

The galaxy NGC 2146 was discovered in 1876 by the German astronomer Friedrich August Theodor Winnecke.
