NGC 2841

NGC 2841 is the name of a nearly 50 million light-years distant galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. It has an angular extent of 8.1 '× 3.5 ' and an apparent brightness of 9.3 mag. In NGC 2841 SN 1957a, SN 1972R and SN were with SN 1912a, observed 1999by numerous supernovae. NGC 2841 was discovered on 9 March 1788 by the German - British astronomer William Herschel.
