NGC 4526

NGC 4526 is the name of a galaxy in the constellation Virgo, and is part of the Virgo cluster of galaxies. NGC 4526 has an angular extent of 6.6 '× 2.8 ' and an apparent brightness of 9.6 mag. In NGC 4526, the two supernovae SN 1969E and SN 1994d were observed.

The galaxy was discovered on 13 April 1784 by the German - British astronomer William Herschel.
