NGC 4535

NGC 4535 is the name of a spiral galaxy in the constellation Virgo. NGC 4535 has an angular extent of 6.9 '× 5.2 ' and an apparent magnitude of 9.8 mag. The galaxy was discovered in December 28, 1785 by William Herschel. Because the galaxy is easily overlooked in smaller telescopes, it is sometimes called "Lost Galaxy" ( Lost Galaxy ). This nickname goes back to an article by Leland S. Copeland amateur astronomers from the 1950s.
