NGC 4921

NGC 4921 is a barred spiral galaxy in about 320 million light- years away in the Coma cluster of galaxies.

The Coma cluster of galaxies located in the constellation Coma Berenices. The galaxy does not have bright bright spiral arms, but only over a dark ring of dust as well as individual star clusters of bright bluish stars. NGC 4921 is relatively featureless, especially in the outer regions.

NGC 4921 was discovered in the late 18th century by William Herschel, who however did not know that it was a far-off galaxy.
