Nichlas Torp

Nichlas Torp ( born April 10, 1989 in Jönköping ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Timrå IK in the Elitserien since 2011.

Career

Nichlas Torp started his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of HV71, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien during the 2008/ 09 season. In his rookie year he prepared in a total of 56 games before two goals and was with his team at first runner-up. In the following season the defender won the Swedish championship title with his team. For this success he contributed one goal and six assists in 63 games in total. For the 2011/12 season he moved within the highest Swedish league for Timrå IK.

Internationally

For Sweden, Torp took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2007 and the Under-20 World Youth Championship 2009. In the 2007 U18 World Championships he won the bronze, at the 2009 U20 World Championship silver medal with his team.
