Dave Spina

David Andrew Spina ( born June 5, 1983 in Springfield, Illinois ) is an Italian- American ice hockey player who stands since 2012 at MODO Hockey in Hockey Svenska ligands under contract.

Career

Dave Spina was born in Springfield, Illinois. At the age of two, he moved with his parents to Seattle, where he stood for the first time on the ice and then started to play hockey. In August 2010 he signed a contract with the NHL's St. Louis Blues and played for the Peoria Rivermen in the AHL. For the season 2011/12 Spina moved to Europe in the German Hockey League to the Iserlohn Roosters. With the Roosters he failed to qualify for the pre- playoffs, but in which you retired. Then he signed with Swedish club Modo Hockey from the Svenska Hockey ligands. After good performances, his contract was extended until 2014.

Internationally

In 2000, Dave Spina took part in a Four Nations Tournament in Slovakia with the U18 national team of the United States. He also played in the Under-18 Junior World Championship 2001 for Team USA.
