Nicholas Grimshaw

Sir Nicholas Grimshaw CBE PRA ( born October 9, 1939 in Hove on the English Channel, East Sussex ) is a prominent architect are from the UK, whose most famous buildings, the London Waterloo railway terminal and the Eden Project in Cornwall. In Germany he has the Ludwig- Erhard-Haus built in Pheasant Street in Berlin, the Five Boats in Duisburg, the factory of the company igus in Cologne and two factory buildings on the architecture park « Vitra Campus " in Weil am Rhein and is distinguished for the master plan of the same charge. In Switzerland, he is responsible for the Airside Center at Zurich Airport.

Awards

In 1993, Grimshaw was appointed as Commander of the British Empire, and in 1997 an honorary membership in the covenant, he was awarded German Architects BDA. From 2004 to 2011, he was elected president of the Royal Academy of Arts.
