Nico (Romanian singer)

Nicoleta Matei ( born 1 February 1970 in Ploiesti, Romania), known by her stage name Nico, is a Romanian singer. Together with Vlad Mirita she represented Romania at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Nico and Vlad sat down in the national qualifying round of Romania for the Euro Vision Song Contest against their competitors by and kicked with her song Pe -o margine de lume initially in the first semifinal on May 20, 2008, where they finished 7th place and thus could qualify for the final on May 24. There, they reached a total of 25 participants under the 20th place with a total of 45 points.
