Hotel FM

Hotel FM is a Romanian pop band, which was founded in 2005 and in May 2011 took the Euro Vision Song Contest for Romania.

Career

All Erstmitglieder come from Oradea and formed up on the initiative of composer Gabriel Băruţas who sought musicians to realize his musical concepts. This was followed by first appearances in Germany and Romania, and in spring 2006 a first CD for promotional purposes. The cast changed while continuously.

2010 the group took part in the Romanian preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest Selecţia Naţională and finished with the ballad Come as One fourth place. In turn, altered formation, she applied for again in 2011, where she was able to prevail in the New Year's Eve show from the applicable transmitter TVR thanks to an additional jury score on chairmanship of the triple Irish winner Johnny Logan with the written by Gabriel BARUTA and Alexandra Ivan English title change against 15 competitors. Only the second place in the public vote, however, was achieved. As overall winner of the band thus represented Romania at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011, which was held on the 10th, 12th and 14th of May in Dusseldorf.

On 12 May 2011 the formation interpreted the English-language title for the second ESC semi-final in Dusseldorf, after she reached the in the two days later held the final. In the final, they finished with 77 points to 17th place.
