Mandinga (band)

Mandinga is a Romanian Latin pop band, which has existed since 2002.

The group from Bucharest mixes Latin music with dance and pop elements and already published in Romania several albums. By the end of 2005 was Elena Gheorghe singer and front woman of the project, after their exit Elena "Helen" Ionescu has been committed.

The group won the title Zaleilah the Selecţia Naţională, the national qualifying round in 2012, and was therefore entitled to take the Euro Vision Song Contest 2012 in Baku for Romania in the first semifinal. After evaluation of the televoting, the Group for the four days later held the final, qualified. There, they reached the twelfth. The single was released on 21 May 2012 and rose in early June in the German, Austrian and Swedish charts.
