Paula Seling

Paula Seling ( born December 25, 1978 in Baia Mare ) is known as Paula, is a Romanian singer. In 2010 she took together with the singer Ovi for her native country at the 55th Euro Vision Song Contest. Both reached the third place.

Biography

Training and first public appearances

Paula Seling began at the age of six years playing the piano. Four years later she joined the school choir and choral music competitions began to appear from the eleventh year of regional and national piano and. In 1994 Seling at the art school of her hometown and joined as keyboardist of the band Enders. With the formation they played successfully at several music festivals, leading to winning the Golden Bears of Baia Mare and the first place at the Harmony Festival in Bucharest, among others.

After the split of the band pursued Seling that gushed from an early age for the German hard rock band Scorpions, a solo career as a singer. She won the 1996 Aurelian Andreescu - trophy and took in the same year for the first time at the famous music festival " Goldener Hirsch " of Braşov part. In 1997 she joined the State University Gheorghe Şincai off in their home town. She won the Mamaia trophy and took in Germany their first album, the full English Only Love on. From 1998, she turned to the jazz - rock, soul and rhythm and blues music as the preferred directions. Breakthrough as a singer

Participation in the Euro Vision Song Contest
