Nicola Ventola

Nicola Ventola ( born May 24, 1978 in Grumo Appula ) is an Italian football player, he plays on the position of a striker.

Career

In the club

Nicola Ventola began his career at AS Bari, in his third season in Bari Ventola was first -team regular. The AS Bari returned thanks to the ten goals of Ventola back to Serie A. Here Ventola came but rarely used. Nevertheless, the celebrated as a huge talent Ventola moved to the traditional club Inter Milan. Here he was a regular in his first season to use and was able to achieve at least six goals. For the 1999/2000 season Ventola was loaned to FC Bologna, but here he could not prevail. Therefore Ventola was borrowed for the following season at Atalanta Bergamo, where he made the jump right away in the trunk formation and achieved a total of ten goals. Thanks to its impressive performance he was able to return to Inter Milan for the 2001/02 season.

He remained in the wake of two seasons with the Nerazzurri as he could but did not enforce against the big competition, Ventola was loaned again. This time the Series A newly promoted AC Siena was his new club, here he came again used regularly, but scored only four goals. For the season 2004 /05 Ventola was loaned to the Premier League club Crystal Palace, so Ventola first played abroad. However, he played only three bets on the island before returning to Inter Milan. For the season 2005/ 06 Ventola then moved to the Series B club Atalanta Bergamo, where he played himself straight into the root formation. With his 15 goals had Ventola large share in the profits of the Series B Championship and the associated rise in the Series A.

In the National Team

Ventola played 21 games for the Italian U- 21 team, but he was able to achieve eight goals. In 2000, he won with the team under coach Marco Tardelli in Slovakia the European title.
