Nicolás de Jesús López Rodríguez Cardinal ( born October 31, 1936 in Barranca, Dominican Republic) is Archbishop of Santo Domingo.
Life
Nicolás de Jesús López Rodríguez studied at the seminary of Santo Domingo philosophy and Catholic theology. In 1961 he was ordained a priest in La Vega and then worked in the church ministry. Besides, he continued his studies and was eventually sent to Rome, where he specialized in the fields of pastoral sociology, social sciences, and canon law. Then he provided a variety of tasks in the management of his home diocese of La Vega before him with the Office of the Vicar General, the head of the administration was transferred in 1970.
