Niestkowo

Niestkowo ( German Nesekow ) is a village in the municipality of Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) in the powiat Słupski the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Niestkowo located in Pomerania, on the right bank of the Stolpe, about ten kilometers northwest of the city of Slupsk ( Stolp ) and eight kilometers southeast of the port city Ustka on the Baltic Sea.

History

The historic village of shape after the village had been created as Hagen Hufendorf. It is the oldest documented village in the district of Stolp. 1227 it is mentioned under the name Nestic in a document, with the Duke Barnim I of Pomerania west of the village Nestic minore in Stolp, poured in parvo Ztolp, the monastery Belbuck. Later it belonged to the possession of Stanisław in Garde, the duke Mestwin II of Pomerania in 1282, the donations of his father, Swantopolk II confirmed. 1499 the estate was owned by a family member Nesekow the Ramel family. Around 1580, it was owned by Damian von Winterfeld, under the Duke of Pomerania Bogislaw XIII. Had been bailiff of the landing Schlawe and Stolp. In 1622 it was bought by a member of the Winterfeld family on winter Hagen, after the family Zitzewitz. Around the year 1784 there were in Nesekow a Vorwerk, five farmers and a total of eight households. 1810 acquired Johann scratch the villages Nesekow and Winterhagen of Otto Graf von Podewils. 1811 sold Nesekow scratch again. Before the end of the Second World War, the village belonged to the district of Stolp Nesekow in the administrative region of Pomerania Pomerania. The municipal area was 438 hectares. Nesekow was the only town in the municipality Nesekow.

Towards the end of World War II Lindow was occupied on 8 March 1945 by the Soviet Army. In July 1945, Poland entered the village and took over houses and farms of the German population. The estate was occupied by Soviet troops until the spring of 1946. All the villagers were expelled. Nesekow was renamed Niestkowo.

95 expelled from Nesekow villagers were later identified in the Federal Republic of Germany and 98 in the GDR.

In 2007 the village had 164 inhabitants.

Church

The villagers before 1945 in Nesekow present were Protestant. Nesekow was attached to the parish Weitenhagen and thus belonged to the church Stolp City.

School

Before 1945 Nesekow had its own elementary school. In 1932 this school was a single stage; taught at this point here, a single teacher 47 school children.
